Celebrating COVID Warriors

Celebrating COVID Warriors

Covered in airtight overalls, complete with gloves, mask and caps almost unrecognisable, moving from one bed to another, checking on a patient after patient, testing, treating and caring for those isolated from the rest of the world (literally maybe one of the few that these patients come across in a day!), drenched in sweat and many times dehydrated from not being able to drink water, hungry and unable to use washrooms for long hours, these real-life heroes are giving it their all. Risking a possible infection and placing their lives on the frontline of the battle against the deadly virus, the medical health workers have shown what true strength under pressure means! Thank you for what you do. Thank you for showing us what it means to serve sacrificially. We are so proud of each one of you and hold you all in high respect. May God reward you with blessing, protect you and take care of your families.

DCC is honoured to have some of these inspirational medical workers in our church family. Those who are personifying love-in-action! We are overwhelmed to hear their stories and the challenges they face physically and emotionally. As much as it concerns our heart, we are encouraged much by their unwavering service to the sick and their rock-solid trust in the Lord. They continue to do their part, day in and day out, some of them with young children, boldly stepping into their calling in places that God has put them even during times like these, even if it means inside panic-stricken ICUs and fear-filled hospital corridors. After all, the light shines brightest in the darkest of places!! Our prayer is that, even as you fulfil your duties as care-givers for the sick, you will also be hope-bearers!! We pray that you will not grow weary of doing good (Galatians 6:9), that Jesus will shine brighter in and through your lives like never before for His glory (Matthew 5:15). Be assured of our prayers!

Bible Reading as a Habit!

Bible Reading as a Habit!

At DCC our guiding book is the Holy Bible. We encourage people to read, meditate and memorise the scripture as Jesus himself showed us. Jesus often read and quoted scripture. As a follower, we are also called to work on our habit of reading the Bible.
